Hi,

I recently bought a CZ 527 .223 with a laminate stock. I have been working to get all of the pieces together. I bought a recontoured bolt handle from Custom Reloading Tools. I than struggled to get that part on and than struggled to shave down some of the stock to get it to clear. I bought a Sightron III scope in 3.5-10x44. I mounted the scope in Leupold medium rings. So far so good.

I have one factory 5 round magazine that came with the rifle. I ordered two 3 round magazines from CZ. I tried inserting the 3 round magazines for the first time tonight and they will not seat no matter how hard I try!!! I m very pissed!

Did anyone else out there have a similar issue? I am calling CZ tomorrow! Hope I can get through. So far, I am not too impressed with CZ's customer service. I already called them before to ask how high there integral scope base is on this rifle and I didn't get much of an answer! I am starting to regret purchasing this rifle and I still have not fired it!

I should be getting my Mike Lucas bore guide on Thursday so I can give the riifle a cleaning.

What model do you have? This is from the webstore regarding the 3 round flush fit mags,,
(REQUIRES 527 M1 AMER. TRIGGER GUARD OR MODIFICATION OF EXISTING TRIGGER GUARD)

Does the 5 round magazine work right?

I don't think the 3 round mag will work in your gun. Seems like I remember reading somewhere that they are different and will not interchange.

I have the CZ 527 Varmint in the laminate stock! The 5 round magazine that came with rifle seems fine! Let me check the website to see what they say about the trigger guard!

Okay so it looks like this is my fault. The three rounds mags do not fit the CZ Varmint! I wish this was a little more clear!

Call them and explain and see if they will swap.

If not, I don't think it would be hard to get rid of it in the classifieds.
