I was wasting off-duty time at the shop awhile back, when the boss called me over to the counter. It seems a guy wants to trade a CZ 550 Safari Magnum against a CMP Garand.
I had to indicate a willingness to buy the CZ, in the event it proved to be as cute as this customer said it was. Since it was in .375 H&H, I said I would indeed buy this rifle, "if".
Well, it was and I did.
In person, the 550 is much more impressive than the catalog photos would lead us to believe. This one is big and broad---the magazine holds six rounds---but she just falls into place when I'm shooting, without a twitch.
She's got express sights, set trigger and a Roman Nose comb, came with a Leupold VariX III 1.5-5 and Warne rings, plus forty rounds of ammunition. Which I shot up last weekend. (The Leupold is on another CZ, now.)
I forgot the camera on range day, so no full views, only this one close -up.
I don't know if my photography is good enough to get this rifle shown right, but I'll try next time we go out.
