CZ 550 with peep sights

I've seen a lot of positive comments about the use of the NEGC ghost ring peep sights on the CZ 550. For those of you who've used one, did you find you can use it with the stock front sight or must the front sight be replaced to achieve proper height for average ranges. I'm shooting a 550FS in .308. Thanks.

i have used the NECG peep sight on a ruger RSI in 308. i like it and think it is well made. i always felt that the factory front sight on the ruger was too fine for even the smallest peep (they come with 2) but i have no experience with the CZ 550.
i've been toying with the idea of putting it on a #1 but IMO it's probably best used with the NECG front sight (i think the blade is thicker) i don't care for the ruger blade with with this sight though the stock front sight was fine for elevation.
