I was at the local Academy the other day where I purchased 8 boxes of CCI blazer 9mm, since it was only $5 a box and I needed some for a hunting trip I'm going on (Gives the family members a good reason to get together and shoot guns). When I got home, I loaded two magazines and went out to the road I shoot on to see if they would run fine in my gun.

They ran beautiful, except for the whole throwing-brass-in-my-face deal. Luckily, my arms are long enough that it wasn't much of a problem (Got smacked on the nose a few times), but when my little cousins want to try the gun, they'll be in for a little surprise. :neener:

It's not really a problem, and this is the only ammo I've come across that does this. Does anyone else's CZ75 do this with Blazer ammo?

mine does it some times with the 100 rnd winn packs from Wally World, i have a cz75bd, hell even with the rem 50 round packs it has done it once or twice.

My son and I have shot thousands of rounds of Blazer 9MM out of at least 20 CZs. None of our pistols throw the cases back at us.

I know the Blazers cheap, however it sounds like you should just stick to brass cases.

Best regards.

I shoot Blazer all the time - never an issue - but, I do find that in many guns, they eject a little differently than brass. A side effect of the casings.

I have a CZ Rami and have been using Monarch 115 gr in the green box
at 5.86 a box of 50 from Academy .
So far I have put 500 rds threw it the last couple of weeks and not had
any problems.

I've put a large amount of ammo through my CZ-75B and have never had that problem. I've used everything from junk surplus to reloads to premium factory loads. That sounds like an ejector/extractor tuning issue. The CZ is an outstanding gun, but occasionally, they need a little tuning.

This topic has been discussed before. All I remember was the ejector/extractor was the prime culprit, not the cartridges. Not sure how you could do a search for this specific topic. Maybe a call to CZ customer service would help. CCI is my primary target ammo, since it is $6.00 a box. Have never had any problems with the aluminum or brass cases. But I don't own a CZ handgun.

It doesn't happen with brass ammo (WWB or UMC), so I think the culprit is the ammo. It happened a few times on the first magazine, then on the second it wasn't too bad. But perhaps I just didn't notice it as much?

It's not like it's a real issue, just wondering if anyone else has had that happen. If I let a young lady shoot it, I'd make sure she's in "proper shooting attire", because I'd hate for one of those hot aluminum cases to go someplace it has no business going!

I know how annoying having hot brass coming back at you can be. My AMT .380 Backup is the worst at it of any gun I've seen. In one magazine I had a hot case land on my shooting glasses, my ear and inside my shirt pocket. After a burned eyebrow, ear and nipple, I was ready to throw the little gun in the lake!

No never had that problem before with my pre b but I use copper blazers. Never tried the alum. though. Doesnt do it with the wwb either. Just could be the alum. casings.
