I'm trying to replace the original chrome trigger on my CZ-75B with the black recurve trigger, has anyone else done this?

I think the CZ-75B Tactical model (olive drab) comes with it already installed but im trying to be sure that the Re-curved trigger on the ghost holster site will work.

CZ75 Trigger

I changed a trigger on a CZ75 SP01, it was not outrageously difficult. requires a small tool that holds the return spring in the trigger (which is easy to make by trimming a nail of the same diameter), and the instructions CZ provides are a joke, but if you have a little mechanical ability, it ain't rocket surgery or brain science. Lots of tiny parts, be careful. Not a fun gun to work on.

CZ75 Trigger

By the way, most go the other way, swapping out the more curved trigger for the one you already have. I shot both, neither bothered me, it was a friend's gun I was working on.

Haha, "Rocket surgery or brain science". Yeah man, I usually can take anything apart and put it back together again with no problems. I'm just making sure that its going to work out well, but you made me feel better. Another reason im going for the black trigger is because i really love the black on black look to it, the chrome trigger really bothers me.

CZF: Hmmm, compared to what.
I have had mine completely apart, have done a trigger job and replaced almost every spring in it; but especially the first time, it's NOT a simple gun to work on.
The CZ has more moving parts than any other modern auto I know or have heard of (Was it 48 parts?). It uses solid, hollow and double roll pins and lots of springs. In several places three hands are needed to avoid some serious frustration.
Yes, the second or third time you work on it, the fear factor drops off sharply.

P.S. I'm looking for a trigger with a deeper curve to shorten the reach in DA. Did I read that the 85 Military trigger had more curve and fore and aft stop adjust?

I did the CZ Forum polish job a while ago and I seem to remember that the one of the pins from the sear block area is the perfect size to keep the trigger spring in place during assembly.

The CZ is pretty easy to work on being that almost everything only go back together one way. The only tricky part it to keep from losing springs. The springs on the side of the frame in the sear block area are tiny and the trigger spring is likely to get lost in the upper atmosphere if you aren't careful.

The CZ75 Armorer's manual is very helpful..cheap but not very thick.

I've never heard of a 85B military, but the 85 Combat has
a trigger that is adjustable.

Also, have you ever heard of a Dlask Trigger for the CZs?

follow the CZ forums guide to at-home trigger jobs. basically, remove the slide, remove the ejector cage/sear assembly, and then you have the trigger/trigger bar assembly. you will need a small hammer, and a couple of brass punches. also on CZ forums, you'll find my thread with pictures of swapping in a single action trigger - the procedure will be the same when installing a recurve trigger. pm me if you need further assistance.

Help! trigger spring replacement

I noticed that you added some pictures to make it easier as part of a sa trigger install. Are they still available? Thanks, Paul

sure. in fact, i'll add a page to my site regarding sa trigger installation. quite simple really, just completely disassemble, clean it all while you're there, then install the new trigger, and continue reassembling while omitting the disconnector. YMMV.
