I just ordered mine recently. When my 2 guns were shot by a friend and myself they both suffered slide lockback approximately once per mag while firing. This was not a failure to feed as depressing the slide lock would close the slide and allow the gun to fire. I quickly found out it wasn't my thumb hitting the slide lock up. The slide lock was loose and would move just by turning upside down. The spring on mine was not tight. I fixed it quite simply. 1st I took off the slide and mainspringspring. Then I removed the grips. Then I gently pushed out the pin that holds in the trigger guard (this pin is behind the magazine release buttons). There is essentially no pressure to remove or replace this part. The the trigger guard just lifts out. Don't loose any parts here. Next there is a pin on the frame forward of the trigger, this pops out in a one way fashion. You will likely have to depress the thin metal 'spring' slightly while removing this pin. Then the 'spring' pops out, it is easy to straighten with pliars and basically looks like a stick with a half loop on the end, mine was bent at the tip where it should have been straight. Then just reverse the order of operations to return gun to the firing condition. Don't shoot yourself in the process and use some common sense. I accept no responsibility to if you break your gun or hurt yourself somehow. In my opinion, these guns were stored for a long time with an empty mag in them, the mag forces the slide release up against the frame and the spring gained a new memory for this position over time which will cause the problems I was having or even worse a spring could simply drop out. Gun works fine now and the slide lock is rock stable in the downward position.
