Got one. Like it. I generally carry something lighter, but if I want to do some serious 9x18 bullet-launching, the '82 is definitely a goodie.

9x18 good ammo - yes
Easy to find (CZ-82, usually...9x18 ammo....usually)

Magazines can be a challenge to find.

I don't regret buying mine at all.

I would also add mine is reliable, ammo is pretty easy to find and CHEAP enough. and very accurate.

Reliable? East European. Good Czech Gun. Fix with hammer.

9x18 is usually available in caseloads. I typically get 500 or 1000 rounds at a time.

The CZ-82 also takes CZ-83 magazines. Found a bunch at my local shop for around 30 bucks each.

They are reliable. I have three and never had a jam yet. The only problem is when the slide lock- trigger gard broke. I am going to send it in to get a new part. One of the two remaining is beautiful and does not look used at all. It shoots very well. The second one is beaten up pretty well, scratches and such. IT shoots even better. I have put about 1K through each. They are fun, fun fun.

No problems with my 82, as accurate and reliable as my other CZs.

You'd spend $500 just for the features that come stock on the cz - mag release, safety, rifling, et al.

Plus you can get plenty of 9X18 ammo cheap.

And it is a really good round. Com block nations used it for years as primary military sidearm.

What's not to like?

I have a CZ-83 in .32acp.
I like it for an inexpensive handgun but for serious use my Glock 26 9mm gets the nod.
