Couldn't help it. I had to get it to keep my 75 BD company! Very pleased with the fit and finish. I can't wait to get it out and put it through the paces. I shoot lefty and, this is my first ambi. controlled gun. I am pretty psyched! You guys that have the 85 c, what do you think about it? What is your take on it. Sorry no pics , same as usual, I spent the camera money again.....Be good. Oh, I came very close to picking up a po-1 also for $429 the 85 was $449.. I think I did good........

A lot of shooters overlook CZs because only the 85 series is lefty friendly.
There is hope of a 85 Compact or similiar pistol in the future.

The superb CZ85 is worthy of it's higher price tag. The 75B is a bare bones
military grade gun.

You did good. It's a hard gun to beat. And the duo-tone looks great too.

Close enough?

Litlman,

I'm not very familiar with the U.S CZ prices but, you definetely did superp compare to the prices here...Congrats :)

Here is what I own..not exactly a 85B but,it's got the same wonderful look I think...not to mention the accuracy :)

Regards,

Hakan.

CZF,
What is it about the CZ-85 that makes it so much better? As far as I could tell the only difference was the ambi safety. What else is there?

The 85 Combat is a bit different than the 85B. They don't have a firing pin safety, and some say this enhances the trigger pulls. A flat magazine brake
and better fit and finish are features of the 85 Combat, along with the
adjustable LPA sights. They are over $90.00 alone.

mOst folks use the 85 Combat for matches, few actually carry them.

I recently purchesed a CZ 85 combat to use in production IPSC, love the gun, but Can't for the life of me figure out why they went to the trouble of making all controls ambi, but made it impossible to reverse the mag release! did they finish the design a 5 o'clock on a Friday?

Hakan, I have admired your work for a while now. I like the grips you are showing in that pic. I think that I will be speaking with you and Eric L. over at H.B.E. as soon as I get the funds together. Be good.

Litlman,
Congrats on a great gun. Let's get together real soon and shoot both of your CZ's and my BHP's. I'd like to compare them side by side! A CZ may be in my future.

I'm in the market for a new 9mm autoloader and I looked at CZs today. The 85B I looked at had an adjustable trigger in addition to adjustable sights. The trigger was superb. I'm thinking about getting an 85 instead of a 75.
