Has there ever been any such animal? I think that it would be a good ccw option for C&L carry for lefties. I have a 75BD and a 85 c. A PO1 has been on my mind and a 75 compact. I am thinking of a CZ compact with ambi controls with fixed low mount sights would be better for me. Doesn't that sound good? What do you fellow CZ guys and gals think? Be good.

I think there would deffinately be a niche for a CZ 85B compact. Not for me but for many people I am sure there would be. The P-01's mag release can be switched from side to side FWIW.

I currently have a CZ 75B in .40; I like the steel frame Witness Compact in the wonder finish; this one is available in 9mm, 38 Super, 40 S&W 10mm or .45 ACP;

EAA Witness Compact

Are the Witnesses available with ambi controls? I've been looking through my Brownells catalog but I'm having trouble finding parts. I know I've seen at least 1 Witness race gun with them.

I was looking at a Witness Compact steel frame wonder finish in .45 ACP last week at a local gunshop, and I am pretty sure it had an ambi safety on it.

They dont make one.....but that doesnt mean you cant do it.......

Take any 9mm Compacts slide assy.....barrel, slide, recoil assy etc....and just run it on the 85........itll work fine. Ive done it to ALOT of CZ's........

Shoot well.

Combine the compact with the 85, hmmm, food for thought. Thanks. So, first I buy the compact and then a plain 85 and then combine them. Or just throw the compact on my 85c. Wow! I will start looking for a compact....

Just checked CZ's web site and the barrel length of the 85 is 4.7 in. and the 75 compact and the po-1 are 3.9 in. Not that big of a dif.
