A coworker is offering me a CZ 85 for around $350. It is blued, bought during the ban (maybe 6 years old), and from what he tells me, and what I can tell by looking at it, it has had less then one box of ammo through it.
What do you think? Should I go for it?

What are the capacity on new mags, and about how much do they cost? I think it only has 1 10-rd mag.

I shot my 85 Combat today. It still amazes me with its accuracy, low recoil, and quick, accurate followup shots, assuming I'm doing my part at least. It even fed empty brass a couple of times, pretty entertaining.

The 85 he's offering has fixed sights. How much would it cost to throw some adjustable sights on there?

What's the difference between a regular and a combat version?

No firing pin block, drop free (mag brake is straighter) mags, and adjustable sight. Other than that, its an 85B.

No firing pin block means a slightly better trigger, and a firing pin stop plate rather htan a firing pin retention roll pin.

I have had one for 6-7 years. It and a glock 34 are my go-to guns for IDPA competition, depending on my mood.

That is a good deal. Full capacity mags made by Mec-gar are readily available from many sources. Factory mags are easy to find, too. Buy it.
