I went to the barber shop, and the barber had a SXS, exposed hammers, damascus barrels, made in Belgium. Nice gun, very tight.

"Where did you get this gun?"

Grandpa Jones (famous banjo player) used to live in our little town of Mountain View (pop. 2800.) He had a dogtrot-style log house. It was recently sold. The buyer, going through the house, found that shotgun in the back of a closet. He showed it to my friend, the barber.

"What'll you take for that gun?"

"Hmmm . . . would a hundred dollars be too much?"

WHOA, Nellie!! Fate put that gun there for ME!!

Still smarting, I wandered into Walmart and saw a pair of CZ Bobwhite SXS in the cabinet -- 12 and 20 gauge. For sale well below Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price! In fact, I got the gun (along with a hard case and 5 screw-in choke tubes), a hundred rounds of Federal Number 7s, paid the sales tax and still came in below MSRP.

You'll be better satisfied with cz than the old Damascus twist anyway.
Did you get the 12 or the 20? Or both?

Yep the barber isn't going to be able to shoot many modern loads out of that damascus barrel. You will get a lot more use out of your CZ. I've been looking at one of those myself.

My new Bobwhite pierces primers with alarming regularity.

CZ seems uninterested in fixing it.

Caveat emptor.
