I have developed a drop-in hammer kit for DA/SA CZ pistols, i.e. CZ-75/85/97. I have a few of these in testing that are approaching 1,000 rounds with 100% function to date. If you would be interested in installing one of these kits, please send me a pm or e-mail me at [email protected] for details.

These kits will eliminate 90-95% of the positive hammer camming in SA. DA is unaffected.

Rellascout,

I machined a P-01 hammer for someone last week and do not know how it works, yet. Unfortunately, the kits I presently have for testing are not for decockers.

Pretty cool. :)

When you say "drop-in" does that mean that one would expect the stock safety to work well with this hammer? Or would there still be a measure of fitting required to make sure that the safety and sear were behaving properly together?

Also, would this fit the various safety-equipped models of the 75/85 series? (For example, the compact 75C?)

TMann,

You cannot simply drop a hammer into a CZ since the slightest change in the hammer hooks will alter the sear safety leg/manual safety pad clearance. The only present recourse is to install a CZ Custom Shop competition hammer and hand fit the sear safety leg. For the novice, this is a little involved.

My drop-in kit utilizes my adjustable sear that makes setting the aforementioned clearance a snap. The hammer in the kit is a new CZ forged hammer, re-machine by me to provide a crisp SA pull.

It eliminates the long, creepy, cammy, SA pull.

I have one of schmekys adjustable sears in my 75sa. Installation and adjustment is easy. I have a competition hammer and with a standard sear you file on the sear put it in and take it out over and over until you get just right. If you take off too much your screwed. With this sear you put it in once and adjust it, You're done. Mark

I am shooting schmeky's first hammer and adjustable sear mod in my 75B now.

The DA trigger position moves to the rear significantly and the pull is great. There's almost no camming, faster reset and a crisp light break. SA is also a 'BIG' improvement.
I have over 600 rds on the new mods without any kind of problems.

I've posted pics on another thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=298532&page=59&highlight=Cajun+trigger

Are you going to make any spur hammer varieties to give that classic CZ look?

Hi 1SOW. My 75B is shooting great with the new extractor spring. :)

Pilot,

My kits start with a brand new hammer and sear from CZ. Currently, all they sell are the newer ring style hammers. However, I can cut a spur hammer if you already have one.

Thanks Scmecky. No, I don't have a spurred hammer, and I guess CZ doesn't sell them currently, huh?
