I bought these stocks from Angus at ghostholster and installed them today. I have not shot using them, but I really like them so far. They are much thinner than the factory stocks. I have pretty big hands and I had problems with having to shift the gun quite a bit while doing mag changes. They cam with some skateboard tape to place in the grip pannels, but I want to shoot it with out them first.

I also pulled off the factory magazine break and switched it out with a free fall break.

Am I the first to post a picture of the MHI patch and a gun?

My next modification will be XS big dot sights.

Thanks! I am shooting pretty regularly now. I am going to 3 matches a month (2 USPSA and 1 IDPA). I am currently UNCLASSIFIED in USPSA Production and I am a Marksman in IDPA although I think (hope) I will make SS at the next classifier, which is next month.

While your changing things put a 15lb. hammer spring in it. It will help the trigger alot. Mark

Wow. Those grips are...interesting.

Ditto on the hammer spring, I'm using 16# and makes a big difference.

As for the mag brake, you didn't have to change it out, just flatten it with a screwdriver.

Those grips are FANTASTIC. I have them on my CZ, with FULL-COVERAGE grip tape, and the gun shoots like my STI-based Limited gun...

Much better than the slippery stock grips, to which grip tape will not stick.

Nice Grips!

What mag holders are you guys using? I need to get some for my CZ that I can use in IDPA.

Chris in VA, I had problems with the break after I bent if flat. It worked great for several months, but then it sprang back and I couldn't get it to stay flat. I pulled it off, and shot it a while with out the break.

I am using Comp-Tac mag holders. I really like them.

railroader +1

My 15# main/hammer and recoil springs are on order from Wolff....maybe Monday!

I really like the looks of those aluminum grips....$$$ Angus's Grip tape looks great on them too.
Flattened magbrakes shouldn't spring back if you hammer them flat, then cut most of the bottom loop off. Just leave enough to to hook under the hammer spring pin...it'll hold. When you flatten it it gets "LONGER".

Fobus makes inexpensive/cheap paddle or belt doubles and singles. I started USPSA some months ago and found they are ok. They tend to be bulky with 4 mags. I will get some better ones eventually, but Fobus works.

Tell me more about those grips. I've never seen them before. Are they designed to be used only with grip tape?

Can you link to the seller as well?

Thanks.

You can get the grips from here. I am going to try them without the grip tape first. If they are too slippery I will add the grip tape a panel at a time.

You can also get them directly from Angus at www.ghostholster.com

Angus designed those and a light and thin alternative. Nearly every competitor I've seen or read about on the web puts the skate tape on them - I'm guessing they'll be too slick without it.

The really thin out the grip of the CZ.

Jeff
