Originally, I was debating whether to go with a CZ or Savage for a .22 Mag. I have been persuaded not to go with the Savage. Should I go with a CZ 452 Varmint or a Marlin with stainless steel bull barrel? I have a CZ 452 in .17HMR and like it. However, I like stainless steel. Furthermore, the Marlin is about $100 less expensive. What are your experiences/opinions? Thanks.

IMO, since you already have a CZ and you like SS, get the Marlin. You can always get a .22 mag CZ later on down the road. Always good to diversify. (And this coming from a big CZ 452/453 fan and my CZs have always shot better than my Marlins.)

Your money could go to support a socialist country, or a country that tries to follow free-market principles.

Why not support the more libertarian country?

Buy a CZ.

Ok I've shot one of the Marlins, Owned one of the Savages, and still own one of the CZ's. The CZ has the best action of the 3. The CZ and the Savage have about the same accuracy. The Marlin and the Savage have about the same fit and finish. The Marlin however wasn't even close to be accurate. Maybe it was a lemon I don't know. We're talking 2 inch groups at 50 yards.
