Ok, I realize there are a ton of threads discussing this very topic but none of them addressed my specific question. I'm trying to decide between these fine pistols and honestly have no idea which one to choose. The gun I purchase will be used more at the range but I want to have the option to carry it (my everyday carry is already set- S&W M&P9c).

Here's the primary issues (for me).

PCR has metal mags vs. the P-01 which has the rubber plate. I like the rubber plate better. 1 point for P-01.
PCR has the "no snag" sights which aren't the three dot combat sights I'm used to. 1 point for P-01.
PCR costs 20 bucks less from my LGS. 1 point for PCR.
I love the slimmed down PCR look. I don't need the P-01's rail. 1 Point for PCR.

My main question is the bolded. What kind of sights does the PCR have? Any pics available?

Oh, and which would you choose if you had to?

All CZ-75 compact magazine are interchangeable. You can even stick CZ-75 full sized mags in the compacts.

PCR sights are three dot. You'll have a tough time finding night sights for it though. I think the rear sights are yellow and the front one is white... but they are kind of dirty so they all look yellowish.

The big differences between the PCR and the P-01 is that the PCR is thinner because of the lack of rail.

I've owned a PCR for twelve years, and it has been my primary carry gun. I don't like light rails, especially on a carry gun.

1 more point for the PCR.

Both are great for what you are looking for. The PCR will be a little lighter for carry but the P-01 will be better in the nightstand with a light.

Everything is a trade off.

I picked the PCR,I own the p-01 and love it.It is fast becomming my favorite
carry, over my Glocks and Kahrs. But I did'nt even know the pcr existed when
I bought the P-01.I think the p-01 is every bit as good mabe better than the pcr but but I love the lines of the pcr and I dont put lights on my pistols.
Either is an exceptional pistol and while I wont get rid of my p-01 I will own a pcr when I see one on the shelf at my LGS.

About the only real difference between them is 1) the PCR has a narrower front end (better for concealed carry) 2) the PCR has sights that are slightly less likely to snap on clothing (better for concealed carry), and the P-01 has an accessory rail. Depending on when the gun was made, there might be a slight difference in the shape of the triggers; newer PCRs and P-01 have the same trigger shape; older PCRs don't.

If you don't plan to carry concealed, decide whether you'd really use that accessory rail. If not, flip a coin.

I chose the PCR despite a P-01 sitting next to it in the case, so my choice should be obvious. ;) I don't need the latter gun's rail, but I do like its sight picture a little better.

I got rid of a G26 after carrying it for almost a year and bought a CZ PO1 and it is the best 9MM of the 3 I have.

You're choosing between two great CZ pistolas!!...
Have owned several P-01s and they have ALL been dead-on, flawless shoots... you will NOT go wrong choosing either.
My P-01 is my CCW/Carry (along with a SIG P6) and have never had any problems with the sights.
Personally, I just love the 'lines' and look of the P-01 and very few pistols have the 'hand-fit' of this nistol, but that's me.
If you can, shoot/hold both and see which one works for you. Either way, you'll have a winner!!

I went with the P01 because I liked the full length frame with the accessory rail. I already had other 9mms' for CCW so this was more of a HD gun with the option of mounting a light/laser on it.

It is interesting to see that the P-01 has different marked slides on some. 75D Compact, vs. P-01. Typical CZ.

The PCR pre-dated the P-01, and from what I have read, the P-01 was intended to replace the PCR, but the PCR has remained popular due to people wanting a slimmer muzzle for carry.

I don't put lights on guns, especially for carry, so the PCR was a no brainer, but at the time I bought mine in 2000, the P-01 was not yet available.

Pilot get your PCR a 'mate'... you always feel good when you spend money, especially on a new CZ!!

The 'different markings' on the P-01 are for the market they were sold in. P-01 is US market, 75D was the European version...
Other than the 'name,' they are the same exact gun.

.

I know, even with the PCR, I still want a P-01. I like a little more weight in the muzzle for range work, and it IS an excuse to pick up another CZ. :D

Might have to get an SP-01 or tuned SA first though.

I have the P01
I would have bought the PCR if they had one at the time.
I really dont need that silly light rail, it just adds to the size.

Still i am very happy with the P01 after some spring swaps.
