Hello,
I am sorta new here. Haven't posted before but I have been lurking for a while. I've noticed a lot of posts about the CZ 527. What are you guys paying for these? I don't see them around too much so I really don't know what they are selling for. I would guess in the $400 - $500 range considering the MSRP on the CZ website.

By the way, good site.

Yeah, the $400-$500 range is the current "going" price. You might want to check out the CZ-USA web site for your nearest local dealers, then find out who is selling for the lowest price. I have a CZ-527 Carbine, chambered for the 7.62x39 round, and paid $400. A couple of other dealers were asking as much as $460 for them at that time.

Also, CZ-USA will deal direct with the public on accessories. The detachable mags were selling for as much as $89 each at the retail gun stores! CZ was selling them for $49 each. Expensive, but they didn't need to be "tweaked" to work properly, unlike the Savage factory mags.

CZ Rifles

I just bought a CZ 550 after calling several gun purveyors and, believe it or not, Cabela's had at least a couple on the shelf to look at (the others would have had to order it) and was about $4 above the lowest price I got. If you have a Cabela's near you, I'd recommend calling them and at least 3 or 4 other firearms dealers for prices.

Thanks guys,

I have found a local shop with two in stock. One is a 527 varmint in .17 rem. the other is a sporter weight barrel in .204 ruger. I don't reload so I am a little reluctant to buy a .17, but I would prefer the heavier barrel. Both of these guns are priced at $419. This is a sale price so I am not sure if they would order the configuration I would want, and let me have it for $419. If the .204 had the heavy barrel I probably would have bought the gun.

A couple more questions for you CZ guys. Both of these rifles had what looked like glue residue at the point where the barrel met the receiver. Is this normal? I thought maybe it was left over after the blueing process but I actually have no idea if that is possible. It did seem like it would come off easily.

Also, am I going to be as happy with one of these rifles as I am my 75B? I have been quite pleased with it.

I'm as happy with My CZ 527 as my 75B.

But then I'm also happy with my 452 Lux, P01, and RAMI.

There may be better guns, but not for the price.

$419.00 is a very good price for a 527. Wal-Mart sells them for $402.00, but I hate to buy from them.

None of my CZs had the "glue" you referred to.
