CZ RAMI 9mm or 40?

Which do you have or which would you get and why?

I have the Rami 9mm. I've heard that there were problems with the 40 in the past. Don't know if they were corrected or not. Anyway I like the 9mm in the Rami for the recoil issue and lately the cost of ammo. I feel very well protected with the 9mm round for SD.

There were some reliability issues with the RAMI in .40, have you thought of the P-06, the new P-01 in .40 might be a better option.

Having said that I love my RAMI-P in 9mm.....

I have all three: cz rami in 9mm (for my wife), P-06, and CZ rami in 40. All three have been flawless and very accurate. I carried a Kahr p45 until I shot my wife's Rami and could not believe the accuracy and control. (Anyone want a Kahr 45?). I then quickly bought me the Rami in 40. Yes, recoil is stout but the rami's design is fits my hands perfectly and followup shots are easy. The P-06 has been great but it's too large to carry on an everyday basis, at least for me.

I believe the problems with the Rami .40 have been worked out long ago.

BTW, the two Ramis are the most accurate pistol I have except for my Dan Wesson match 45. They shoot as accurately as any compact and most full size and they are a SUB compact.

You can't go wrong here.

I have the RAMI .40. When the first came out there was an FTF issue. The issue has been corrected in the newer models.

We bought ours as a carry piece for DW the recoil was a little stout for her so I stole it. ( she ended up W/ a CZ-82 ).

It's an accurate little gun, Uber reliable ( after a ramp polish by Matt at CZ Gratis I might add). Concealable.

I don't care for 9s. Sorry, I just don't never had good luck w/them.

That said, if anybody was going to change my mind about that it would be a CZ.

So get the one you like, it's a CZ you won't go wrong.

In such a small gun, I prefer to stay with 9mm. I have issues with my hands, though, so I tend to not like stout recoil.

I would get it in 9mm. In a gun of that size and weight, the .40 barks and bites excessively, IMO. While the .40 might have more of an impact on the target, you have to consider that you have to first hit the target. And because the magazine capacity has to be reduced in order to keep the overall size the same, you will have two fewer opportunities to do it.

I bought the 9mm for use as a carry gun/BUG for my SP01.

9mm for about 5 years.





Easy on recoil, great accuracy for such a short barrel.
