Thoughts on a CZ Sharptail in 20ga for general use for a woods walking gun, bit of skeet/fun, and hunting ? On these low end double barrels.... single trigger or double ?

More material, more labor; more SKILLED labor to get it right, all steel - no CNC aluminum receiver, no plastic stocks- all adds to the cost.
I prefer double triggers on my SxS - just easier to use, instant choke selection (then again I also prefer fixed chokes)

The Huglu made guns that CZ imports have come a long way under their (and previously DeHaan) tutelage. For hunting and light sporting usage, they are viable shotguns at a very attractive price. However, the Sharptail is a single selective trigger and, as well explained above, that’s not a good idea in a low priced gun. The Bobwhite is a double trigger straight stock splinter forend, a more attractive and reliable model.

What if a fella just *wanted* a single trigger ?

A fella would have to spend rather a lot more money and learn to live with himself, double triggers being the correct thing for SxS guns :p

There really is no good reason for a single selective trigger. Double triggers allow instantaneous choke choice. Almost all high end bespoke and “Best” SxS guns are double triggers. For a reliable SST, I would suggest one would have to go with one of the Italians. I don’t even know if AyA makes an SST model. AKUS, imported from Turkey by Cabelas makes a good quality gun and will have an SST model. My guess is about $1700 for a reliable, box lock SxS with a single selective trigger.

Nevermind. This poor boy will go with double triggers
