I have a friend who owns a Sphinx 2000AT Police Special in 9mm. The slide is cracked under the ejection port and is not repairable. Sphinx changed ownership and is now operated by Sphinx Systems. They are in Switzerland.

Sphinx Systems, in spite of my talking to Armin Landolt, CEO, at the SHOT Show, has not been very helpful in repairing the pistol or providing a replacement slide. They do not have a distributor currently in the United States and it seems they are no longer interested in the United States market. If anyone wants more information on Sphinx and their customer service attitude, you can PM me.

Anyway, the Sphinx 2000AT Police Special is a clone of the CZ-75/85 series pistols. Does anyone in the forum have any experience with these two pistols? Specifically, can a CZ slide be fit to operate on the Sphinx frame?

Did you ever hear from anyone on this issue? I ask because I have an AT2000PS in .40S&W that had its chamber split open. Sphinx says it's an overpressure problem, which I would argue with, but shooting reloads voids the warranty in any event. They promised me a new barrel for half-price three years ago which sounds very nice - except they have no barrels in this country and no idea if/when they ever will have. Such a lovely :cuss::cuss: offer.

My patience is worn so thin it's ridiculous.

Purty sure that the Sphinx is Tangfoglio based.
If so, maybe a EAA Witness slide would be more likely to work.
