Hey ya'll. I just bought a CZ 75d pcr. I love the gun. I hate the DA trigger pull. I found a trigger spring kit, but I would like some expert advice. Here's the link to the trigger kit. And some gun porn. What do you fellas think?

Perhaps a clearer way ask: how difficult is it to change the trigger springs on this gun?
 
I've never done a trigger job on these myself, but I've seen very similar guns disassembled a few times. It isn't Glock-easy, but can be done at home if you are moderately confident with punches and mechanical stuff.

The main problem is that you will likely need more than springs to really get a nice trigger... aftermarket parts and/or modifying stock trigger parts will be required for optimal results.
 
Hate the trigger pull as in too heavy, too gritty, too creepy?

Like all the other metal frame CZs,
PCR triggers improve greatly just by putting rounds down range or doing dry fire.

Also, try the trigger from the position it sets in when the firearm is decocked instead of the full hammer down position. It changes the feel greatly and would be the position the gun in carried in.
 
I haven't worked on your specific model, but I did smooth and reduce the pull on a CZ75B when I was shooting one in IPSC/USPSA. Here is a link that woud help you in disassembly and reassembly Disassembly and smoothing. I used a hammer spring kit from Wolff so I could avoid going too light and comprimising reliable ignition. Wolff hammer springs.
 
CajunGunWorks is top notch. Call the number and talk to the owner. He has awesome customer service. Tell him your story and he will give you all your options and then you can decide which route you want to do.

The most important part of the change is that you're going to replace the HAMMER SPRING, not the trigger spring. It's not a tough task, but its a bit of a pain to get the hammer spring loose.

When you order the parts from CGW, talk with David about what to do and how...

He has hammer kits that make the trigger even better and you need to think about that, as well.

The trigger pull may still be a bit grungy after the spring kit, but a lot of dry-firing will improve things rapidly. It'll improve things even if you don't swap out the springs.
 
The 75D PCR is one of the best all around 9MM's CZ makes, or anyone makes for that matter. My DA, and SA trigger was excellent out of the box, but I bought mine new in 2000.
 
Personally I wouldn't go lighter than a 16lb. hammer spring with a stock firing pin. That spring will set off any primer. Now if you go with a the extended firing pin you can go lower say 13lbs. and be 100% reliable. Changing the spring out is pretty easy too.
 
You already found the best answer - CGW. I did my P-01 trigger smoothing the hard yet fun way - several thousand rounds. Now I get accused of having a trigger job done on it. ;)
