I haven't had good luck with CZs but maybe the third time will be a charm.:D My local shop has two NIB CZs. One is a pre-B blued model, original box and all papers with one preban mag. The other is a B polycoat model with box and all papers and one preban and a postban mags. Both have smooth DA and SA but the pre-B feels a little better. Which do you recommend and why?

PS Anyone have CZ75 pics?:p

Well....Id say which one is the best deal? The quality is the same and they should shoot the same also........so does a FPB matter to you? Which ever one you get...I sure hope 3rds a charm...........

Shoot well.

The price is the same for both, $495. I know the price is really high for a B but I haven't seen any other ones in my area.:(

I like the pre-B but I'm really worried about spare parts. I had a pre-B with a drifiting safety problem. Mike at CZ told me that if I lost the pluger detente spring or damaged the safety that I was SOL because there are no more spare parts. Since I'm looking for a range beater maybe the B is the better way to go?

Lack of spare parts for the Pre-B is the only real downside. The 75B doesn't
appeal to me. Thank God, for the P-01 and 97B:)

I'd say the pre-B. Why?

Both have smooth DA and SA but the pre-B feels a little better.

... and because it's blued and not FREAKING poly! I'm a sucker for smooth blued steel. That price does seem VERY high for a CZ. I bought my 75B for $330 about a year ago. Now they are about $380+ in my area. Hmmm, seems like people are finally realizing CZ75's should cost $600...

Get one cheap while you can!

If you are interested in high caps (especially aftermarket alternatives) the CZ-75B is more friendly to those alternatives (e.g. the $14 ones from Cheaperthandirt.com that work quite well).

I love my B :D .

Hint about the safety (I have a spare, so I'm covered for now), which is that you need to stick a pin through the hole in the safety before removing it to capture the detent and spring.

If you don't remove the safety and lose the parts (put the gun in a clear plastic bag first), then the only thing that might break would be the slide stop, which is replaceable, albeit not quite the same design.
