Anybody remember the CZ75B Turkish contract overruns that CZUSA sold back in 1996-1998? They came with one 15 rounder and one 10 rounder. A local shop pawnshop has one that's in very good condition. I was wondering if there were ever any issues with these CZ75Bs that I should know about before taking the leap.

I have one that I bought back then. I immediately replaced the mag springs and recoil springs with heavier ones from Wolff. Runs fine and is as high a quality as the commercial models.

I bought one back then for $349. Was it really that long ago? Great pistol.

The plastic grips will immediately turn into a gooey, stringy, nasty mess if you get as little as a drop of Gunscrubber on them.

Just be carefull about the magazine release button.
Check out whether you hear a very positive click when you insert hte magazine and the magazine sits in its place properly.
As the other posters say, some of them has lighter springs than they supposed to be.
And the triggers are a little more gritty.
These are almost the only issues I have ever seen in Turkish Police Contract CZs.

Thanks everyone for the great info. What's the ideal weight for a heavier recoil spring?

I routinely use 16 lb recoil springs in my CZ, elong with a recoil buffer.
When I swith to higher pressure ammo, I do swith to 18 lb recoil spring.
When carrying the pistol, I use only 16 lb recoil spring without a buffer.

Regards.

I had one (as well as other CZs). The feed ramp isn't as finely finished/polished as the others so that might need some attention if you plan on shooting JHPs. Mine had some issues with aggressive JHPs. It's also jammed up on Brazer aluminum cased ammo as well as Wolf.

Besides that, it was excellent.
