CZ75B Stainless opinions?

As I was browsing the local gunstore, I usually like to walk by the CZ75 P-01's because I planned on getting one of these as my first handgun. However, a CZ75B Stainless really caught my eye. I thought it was beautiful.

It got me to thinking, I really don't need an accessory rail on a pistol that will spend most of its time at the range, and if I occasionally carry it, I don't want to carry a bulky light around on it. Another thing I really like about the SS version, is that it is still all steel. Whereas the Beretta 92 Inox only has a SS slide and the frame is a silver colored alloy. (Nothing wrong with alloy but when looking at Beretta 92/M9's I want it to be all steel.)

What do you guys think? I still got about 5 months till I can purchase from an FFL and I also need to get a Springfield Mil-Spec Parkerized 1911 as well.

Since I like CZ's, I think a stainless 75 is the cat's pajama's. I wish I had one. If the price is right, get it. I've had a Beretta 92, great gun, but a CZ is more accurate in my hands and just feels so much better than a Beretta.

What's there to think about? Great gun and if you like it, buy it if you can. One of the best, accurate guns around.

I had one in nickel and it chipped away pretty badly in about 15 rounds, so I sent it back and they made it right. Idk about stainless but they said the nickel was a 3-d coating or something like that. Anyways I may have got a lemon but I sold the gun...that was a year ago, yesterday I bought another one in black polycoat because CZ75s are awesome guns! I have no experience with the stainless but this is just a good story to show that CZ is a great product and will do the customer right when a lemon pops up, something that all companies have to deal with but some are better at the dealing than others.

Id say get it now!

Thanks guys. If I find one pop up in the classifieds I'll grab it up. There was one a few months ago but I never really thought to look at it and I was saving for an AR anyway.

Places like Cabela's also has promotions of $25-50 off a new CZ from time to time. I know they have some markup but if the price is competitive to other dealers I'll just consider it.

I agree that the CZ75 is one of the best feeling pistols around. The first time I tried one out I was like, "this is amazing." Without even firing a shot.

I shoot a 75B and wouldn't trade it---except for a stainless version.

Price is $550 plus shipping. This one has only been shot a few times, and has two 16rnd mags, steel recoil guide and all the original stuff (snap caps, paperwork, loader, etc).

The stainless 75Bs I've seen also had ambidextrous thumb safety levers, which never hurts.

For now, I'm digging shooting one in nickel. One hell of a gun, without a doubt.

Here's my story: Pre-O'bama, I bought NIB CZ-PO-1 in the green finish. Carried it, fired about 7-800 rounds through it-90% of the time my mild hand loads.
Came across a member of this forum that wanted to trade a Kimber .45acp. in like condition+we completed the trade.
This left me without a 9MM hand gun with a whole lot of loaded 9mm ammo/components.
Went to my favorite local gun store and bought a NIB CZ-75B Stainless 9MM. It shoots well/handles well, but not as compact, or as light as the old PO-1.
I will keep the Stainless, but am always looking for another PO-1, for more comfortable carry.

I hear you.

I have two Stainless 75Bs, and a Polymer 75B. I'm keeping the one stainless for myself, and my son has laid claim to the polymer. Now my daughter has decided she likes the 75 because it's heavy (low recoil) and can be carried cocked and locked. But it's a bit too big. Hence I am selling my extra stainless 75 to fund a 75 compact.

I love my CZs, but they are heavy to pack around.

Which version is it that comes with the "sharper/extended?" beavertail? I like how that one looks, it looks more aggressive. I also like the brushed finish, kinda shiny but not too much. But that is the good thing about SS, the user can sort of make their own finish if they have the proper materials. A friend turned his matte stainless 1911 a nice mirror finish.
