Is there a difference between Beretta's Inox & SS on their 92's? Are they the same thing? I went to Beretta's web site and all they have are INoxs, no SS models. I think I have a stainless steel one, are they made anymore? Any help clearifying this will be appreciated. What is INOX?

Bummer. I was kinda under the impression that the Inox had a brighter, shinier stainless steel than their regular S.S... Oh well. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Beretta uses the term "Inox" for guns with stainless steel slide/brl, of course the frame is still aluminum and it is anodized to match the color of the stainless upper.

Magazines are a different story. Beretta calls silver-colored magazines "stainless", but they are not made of stainless steel, just plated or coated with a silver-colored material. Many believe this to be the MP-3 treatment, but other theories are out there.
