Hey, nice thread! Well written, well thought out post:rolleyes: Here's a thought, maybe YOU should start a thread about something YOU would like to discuss as opposed to starting a thread only to complain about what others choose to discuss. Just a thought.......

Ahhhrrrgg!

Gun Racist! Now I'm making up terms... CZ, XD, GLOCK, SIG, H&K, all good pistols that people on this fourum like... maybe there is a reason?
Oh yeah... M1911A1's are cool too...:neener: ;)

I believe his point is that, anytime when people mention what Glock they should get, there's always someone who try to sell their XD, better grip, etc.
I bought into that, purchased a brand new XD40. It's okay, slightly cheaper, but I don't think it's comparable to the Glock or to my HK. I had some numerous jams with it.

I thought his point was just that this forum has been FILLED with threads about CZs and XDs lately.

As a moderator for CZForum I'm forced to agree that CZ owners can be rather evangelical about their CZ pistols. I think that's just human nature when someone feels they've found something good that they feel is undervalued/under appreciated. I think however it's bad form for anyone to highjack threads discussing other pistols, i.e. someone in a thread named "Which Glock should I get?" posting "Get a P-01, because I like them better."

As a CZ fan, I also know that there are many other great pistols out there, (CZs make up less than half my collection,) and which is best for anyone depends on lots of factors and needs to be decided by the person considering the purchase.

And the problem with that would be?

problem is the original poster was discussing about all aspects say of sig, glock, hk, 1911 and suddenly a jehovah witness pops up and yells: get XD! it's cheaper, better grip etc.
Do tell them this: work on the finish or talk to the hand. ;)

We pretty much covered that topic on Page 2 of this thread, but it appears you prefer to remain unencumbered by knowledge which might prove inconvenient to your cherished, and yet charmingly outdated, notions.

...and even if the CZ and XD stuff does get a little thick once in awhile, you'd have to admit it's an improvement over what we had before, which was about a decade's worth of 1911 vs. Glock talk.

Oh, and buy an XD! :neener:

See? A lot of you know exactly what I was talking about. I'm sure they are both fine pistols but c'mon folks, they aren't the answer to every question.
He's just a little touchy that we can't buy either here in MA
Maybe a little.

Huh? I don't need the knowledge about how great it is. I bought one, I already know. I found that it's not an improvement if it jams or not so great finish! Who are you to say otherwise? Perhaps you didn't quite get it.

You beat me to it. He forgot about Taurus though.

I was lamenting the inability to buy a P3AT or new P35 yesterday at the gunshop.I want a pocket pistol but don't want to shell out for a Seecamp and the used prices on P35's that I've seen here have been astronomical-I saw an FEG sell for $500! I wouldn't mind trying out the Taurus compacts either and I really, really.really wish I could have got a Steyr.

I really would like a Rami or CZ75 but no dice.I saw the HK USP Compact at Four Seasons _ a thousand dollars_ because we can't get a new one.Unfreakinbelievable:cuss:

Yup. I was at a shop and watched a guy buy a somewhat ratty Beretta Tomcat for more than the price of a new one - for just that reason.

Cool--I just got an XD9sc about a month ago and now I'm looking for a CZ P01. All the GD'S here are out of them. Looks like I'm on the right track.
