Would someone be so kind to explain to me the difference between a CZ 75 and a CZ 85?
I do not own any CZ's and know very little about them.

thanks

The 85B has ambidextrous controls. The 85 Combat adds adjustable sights as well as an adjustable trigger stop and deletes the firing pin safety. Nice guns.

Simply put the CZ85 is the ambidextrous model of the CZ75. It has both an ambi-safety and an ambi-slide release. The 85B model has a firing pin block safety, as does the 75B. In my opinion the ambi-slide release isn't necessary as I slingshot the slide on all my guns so I have a common motion from platform to platform but some like it.
