Czsp01 mag/slide release issue?

Ok high roaders, got the oldest daughter a czsp01 for Christmas (LOVES IT!!!!!!) over the 4th we were enjoying outdoor targets when I slam a mag home and the slide closes automatically! Yes, it chambers a round. She has previously been loading 17 in a mag as that's all she can manage against a spring, I can load 19, to date, this has never happened before, I swear. This particular day she says, no this time she was only 1 short of full (18).......so I manipulate the slide/release/mag, and it seems that the release on the inside sticks out just enough to be tripped by an even number-loaded mag! I plan on experimenting with this (in a safe manner) but I'm curious, is this common in all cz pistols? Just 75 patterns? Just this model? Just this pistol?
No griping or complaints, genuine curiosity....

I don't believe I've done it with 18 in the magazine, but I know I've loaded 10 in the mag and not had the slide close when seating the magazine. I'll give 18 a try and report back tomorrow

Having the slide auto-release when inserting a loaded magazine is considered a plus with the folks I have competed with in IDPA.

For those who expect it to happen, it's a disappointment if the slide has to be manually released.

I do understand the pros and cons.....is it common on this gun with a mag with 18 though?

Several of my CZs do this. Lately I’ve been shooting my Phantom and the slide closes when loaded with a magazine that has ammo in it. It doesn’t have to be full as I typically carry 15 rounds. How aggressively I seat the magazine has an effect. If I push it in very gently, I’ll have to use the slide release.

I don't know if it's particularly common to that model of CZ, but it is a common issue with a lot of semi-auto pistols.
