Dallas May Be Banning Toy Guns

Liberal Gun Nut, Grow up would you  There's nothing wrong with replica firearms. S--t happens when parents don't do their job raising their kids. Parents are reponsible for their kid's actions until puberty. It's sad nowadays that most parents aren't anymore mature than their kids.

The way I see it, when something horrible happens, eg, a police officer shoots a child who was pointing an airsoft gun at the cop, the problem is with the situation and the behavior (making a perceived threat against a cop) rather than the existence of the airsoft gun.

But we don't want to talk about behavior, because that would bring up all sorts of unpleasantness about role models, modeling behavior, and home environment.

Instead we'd rather blame the toy.

The blissninnies continue their sissification (is that a word?) of America.
I wonder if this affects adult airguns (springers, PCP, C02, etc) ?

Some of my fondest memories were shared with a Replica AKS-74U..

I had no orange tip no distinguishing mark, in fact I removed mine because it ruined the appearence. And I'm still here to tell the tale 4 years after the fact...

The problem isn't the replica guns that so many on forums like AR-15.com like to bash. the problem is that common sense is no longer taught to children like it used to be. Parrents just don't give a damn like they used to. :banghead:

Easier to whine to the city council than to teach common sense to your own children, I guess...

Yes, it does. It will be illegal to possess them in the city Dallas. If you are driving through Dallas and have one, they could arrest you. :fire:

Wait a minute. Aren't Airsoft replicas considered "toy guns" under this ordinance?

That means that ADULTS won't be allowed to possess realistic-looking Airsoft replicas, won't it? Or did I miss something?

Exactly!

Hey, in 30 days I'll be a CA political refugee in TX as well!
TX is non-extradition, right?

"I would have liked to see the city absolutely outlaw toy look-alike replica guns, but to get anything progressive done in this part of the country is significant," said the Rev. Peter Johnson, who through the community activism organization Weed & Seed has advocated banning toy guns locally.
And next I suppose the Rev. Johnson will want an ordinance outlawing dancing.
