Sure, why not if you're paying for a $300 MSRP multi tool. Most of us are carrying "pocket jewelry" as much as tools.

I think I am an odd ball, I don't like Damascus steel in anything. I am a novice hobby blacksmith and am really impressed by the skill it takes to make Damascus by hand forging but aesthetically it does nothing for me. I carry a Skeletool as my EDC tool and on the weekends carry a Surge. I would be happy to pay more for the 154cm blades or other higher performance steels for blades when that is an option but I would not select Damascus and nor would a pay more for it. But each to his own its cool they make it, and if it sells more power to them.
I do like the new Wave+, Charge+ series. The addition of the replaceable cutters is something I would value. I bought a Surge for a full size tool over the Wave because of the replaceable cutter. Adding the replaceable cutter really makes it tempting to add to the collection.

I like the S30V that came on mine originally. Best blade I own, second most used. The Gerber FAST 06 sees more use simply because it's easier to access.
