Why don't I hear much about these ever?

It seems everything is S&W, Kimber, Wilson, etc. But I rarely see a Dan Wesson opinion.

I remember seeing one at a show a while back that I almost got, but didn't because I hadn't read anything about it.

And m1911.org's information about it doesn't seem negative at all, it seems they are a good price and good gun.

?

I think Dan Wesson's 1911's, just like their revolvers, tend to be underrated. They make a fine product, I used to have one of their revolvers and let it go in a moment of mental fog. They also have outstanding customer service. With Dan Wesson, if it isn't right, they want to know about and they will fix it!

I just crossed 2000 rnds out of my Razer (Dan Wesson Razerback 10mm). 100% reliable and quite accurate. Trigger is much better now that it has some round cycled out of it. I think it is a great gun and am very happy that I bought it. They are definitely under rated though.

I have a DW Patriot in .45ACP and it is one incredible 1911.

There are many posts here on the forum, just do a good search and they're there.

Also as was mentioned, the 1911forum.com

Good luck!

I have 3 of them Pointman, Guardian Duece, and Patriot.

I enjoy them so much that I may just get another. Utterly reliable, after setting up properly, and accurate.

DW firearms.

I own Razorback #004.

After some minor changes, ie.. different extractor - oversized FPS. runs like a champ.

Accuracy is excellent. 10mm to boot!

12-34hom.

Another vote for DW

I have a Razorback.. over a 1000 rounds down the pipe.. It is as nice an auto pistol as I ever owned..

It gets better and better the more I shoot it...

Give them a look.. and as has been stated... Best customer support in the business...

I own 5 DW razorbacks, sure they have a few quirks here and there, but nothing that the other manufactures dont have.
Of the 5 I own 2 of them needed alittle work (adjust the extractors and oversized FPS). now they are awsome, the other 3 work great.
Fit and finish was excellent, they come very tight and need to be broken in good. Overall I feel they are a very under rated company that is heading in the right direction by listening to its customers and building a damn fine product.

So where did you find these? I hope to at least see one at this weekend's gun show. I have never seen one in a shop here in town.

I am not allowed to buy any guns this weekend unless it is a killer deal, so a high quality 1911 like these at the prices I have seen at on gun broker count as a killer deal in my book!

For those of you interested in buying a Dan Wesson 1911, the only option most of you will have in doing so, would be to have your local FFL order one for you. I want to check one of these out myself.

Dan Wesson doesn't spend a lot on advertising, which is unfortunate. From what I have read they seem to make a better 1911 than most other companies, and like was said before, if it isn't right the first time, they will go out of their way to make it right.

Mr. Serna has a company like no other in the business, and they are listening to their customer base. They have big plans for the company, but won't forget the little guy either.

Here is an example of DW service. I was at a IDPA match this weekend and lost my front sight on the last stage (hate it when that happens). So I Emailed DW on Sunday asking about replacement. Received an Email reply (sent at 06:30) that a new sight was on the way - no charge along with instructions on changing it out.

I may sell my Sig 220ST and order a Patriot.
Great guns -great service.
