I was told a couple of weeks ago that the model of Dan Wesson that I own was supposed to have a shoulder stock with the package. First of all, it's got a 15 inch barrel so it's legally a carbine. But on the other hand, I can't find any information about the stock or even the barrel length. I know that the barrel is a special order deal and is probably worth more than the gun is. Has anybody seen a Dan Wesson Carbine?

Dan Wesson was a major player in the long range silhoulette games. The long barrels were used by those folks. DW only made handguns. There was never any factory sholder stocks for them.

Sorry, but a 15" Revolver with a shoulder stock is an invitation for a long stay at CLUB FED...........Essex

Needs to be greater than 16" as measured from the breech or bolt face. No one has made a shoulder stock for a handgun since NFA came into being and that was in '32. Unless it was a military sidearm.

I've always thought a DW carbine in any of the supermags would be cool. I figured it'd be like with Contenders in that you'd need a 16 in+ barrel. I've never seen it, but I recall hearing about custom 18in barrels and a shoulder stock wouldn't be bad to make. I have hunted with a Contender in 357 max with a 16in barrel, and it's a really nice rifle to carry. I think the minimum OAL is also determined by law at 28ish inches.
