Hello all I'm hoping someone here can help me with my problems. I have a Dan Wesson Model D12 that I bought. But when I looked at it close it says
D11. Did the D11 come in 357? The next problem is I went to the range the other day and now the trigger won't return forward. If I use my finger and push the trigger forward it will fire. But I have not done that I was told that the trigger return spring may have broken. Does anyone know if the D11 and D12 trigger return spring are the same. And can someone point me in the right direction to find it..
Thanks for the help

Google and the CZ website are your friends, if the barrel nut is fully Exposed you have a pre-14 model …357. The D-11 was indeed .357 and may be double action only. Caliber designation should be on barrel shroud somewhere. Your gun may have been made by the High Standard company in the 1970's.

Good morning
I would also sujest the DW site. There are some very knowledgable DW shooters that hang around there who should be able to answer this question.

I see that I've called them at least 15 times even left my phone number and email address and nothing no call no email response

thanks everyone for the help found trigger return spring after sometime found out how to put it in after a long search. but ended up going back in and replacing the hammer return spring.

Now you are a season master of DW revolvers. Once you can take all the trigger parts out and get it back together right you can fix any of them. HA. I will not deal with CZ. EWK arms is way easier ,quicker and just friendlier to deal with. Good shooting.

Did the spring change do the trick? If not try backing out the grip screw, if it's a tad too long it interferes with the action. A file or a trip to the hardware store will fix the slow return.

When you had it open I assume you cleaned all the gunk outta the works. Make sure and lube the side plate where it's shiny, the action uses the side plate for support, I use a fine coat of gun grease.

The sintered parts of the action seem to respond better to gun grease instead of oil for me,YMMV. Once you get the B/C gap set, the insides lubed up and a load it likes you will be quite happy with the tiny groups that revolver makes....:)
