Anybody carry his work? I've seen his knives around, but I've never run into anyone using a hawk or possibles bag from the NC guy. His work is extraordinary, but how does it stand up to field use?

I'd really like to get something from his catalog, but I can't make up my mind what. Don't reckon I need another knife, but...

I worked with Daniel back in 93/94 designing a Knife set that I wanted. Set was a "Camp" and "Skinning" knife. I also designed the Sheath that the Knives were to reside in (the first double (skinner on top of the camp) sheath that Karen (?) made).

I've used this set over the years as my hunting knives. Dressed out more then a few deer with them. They have held up to the task and all it takes to get a razor sharp edge back on them is a few swipes down the ceramic sticks.

I could probably sell them now for a lot more then I payed for them but that will never happen... they are slated to be passed down to one of my kids.

If his hawks and other stuff is of the same quality (and I have NO reason to doubt they wouldn't be after talking to him while workng on the knife design) I think you will be more then satisifed.
