This happened over a period of two weeks, using Yugoslavian 7.62x39 all 3 times.
Day 1 - Rifle functioned fine on semi and auto for around one and a quarter magazines. Then it suffers a broken case which became lodged in the chamber.
Day 2 - After extracting the broken case, the rifle was fired again using the same ammunition. On the first round, a case breaks again.
Day 3 - This time, having brought the broken shell extractor, we fought through 3 more broken cases. About 2/3 thirds through the first mag, a case breaks at the wrong place, at the wrong time, casuing the top cover and recoil spring to go flying, the selector lever rivet to fly off, and the selector to become bent out of position.
It's brass cased. Headstamped 1994, with some russian writing. Looks kind of like "nnY". If anyone has any of this stuff, I suggest throwing it all away right now. Or at least not shooting it.
