Are they still making parts available? I wanted bcg and a stripped upper. I've checked their website and they've been out of stock for awhile now.

You can order the BCG and some other parts via smartgunner.com.

There is high demand right now for complete rifles and complete halves, so DD and some other manufacturers seem to be temporarily halting sales of the lower profit but scarce items like stripped receivers. I'm sure those sales will restart when the current rush dissipates, but whether that's one week or a year I don't know. DD makes high quality stuff, but there are many other options for the few parts like stripped receivers that they are not currently selling.

BTW, smartgunner has prices on complete uppers that may make you reconsider building a stripped one. If you do want a stripped one, BCM was in stock as of yesterday with stripped uppers, both fully stripped and with just the dust cover and FA installed.

Thanks guys. I just googled and read a bunch of posts. How they weren't selling lowers anymore. I'm about five months too late for a DD build.

You could. I'll note three things:

1) That's probably a reasonable price for a DD complete lower.

2) G&R Tactical is an A++ excellent company (of maybe three people) to deal with, based on both personal purchases from them and reputation.

3) BUT... if you can use basic hand tools you can build an equal quality lower yourself using about $250 in parts. (Note that the DD at G&R does not include the actual buttstock in the basic price.)

There's been a lot of demand for DD lately. I'm sure Larry Vickers has a lot to do with it commercially. However, DD has a lot in the way of GOV/MIL contracts, and I know those take priority. They are trying to get caught up on those.
I have had Mk18 parts on backorder for a long time. No ETA yet.
