Danish Garand barrel

I have a Danish M1 Garand and am trying to research my barrel. The barrel imprint on the right side is marked ASC (within a circle) 1958 and PK also within a circle. I assume the PK is a Danish proof mark, but I cannot find any reference to ASC. I will note a few parts are stamped PB, which many will recognize as Petro Beretta.

Perhaps...

Marked 'RSC', which stands for Ribeyrolle, Sutter and Cheuchat. Apparently it's French.

RSC ,with PK inside of a circle is a Italian made barrel,

Danish barrels are marked VAR IIRC .

5-10 years ago there were a bunch of Danish and Greek returns at the CMP. The Danish returns had plenty of Beretta pieces on them. Some also had replacement stocks made of beech.

You could get them as cheap as $229 or $279. The Danish barrels were supposed to be high quality, not sure about yours.
