Mine is on the side of the frame just under the trigger bar. BU in my case with a box around it. Several other proof marks next to it and on the side of the barrel as well. This normally only applies to the Italian made 92's and not the M9 or U.S. made 92's.

Darn it! That would probably explain why I can't find it.
I found it easily on my 70S.
