I would say sometime in the late seventies or early eighties.
Ahhh hell!!
Somebodies got a copy of that comprehensive Smith history book!!
I'm sure they will chime in.
I do know that my 28-2 has a hammer mounted pin and my 66-6 has the frame mount!!
