Guys, take a moment, and drop 'em a line... Maybe you've never seen one, maybe you don't intend to patronize 'em, whatever. The point is, they've got a sign up, and we gotta let 'em know to take it down.

No e-mail, but their phone number is 214-357-9588. Since I don't pay for long distance on my cell, I'm gonna call 'em, and see if this is a corporate policy, or if some manager is trying to invent some rules...

The "event planner" at the restaurant in question is [email protected]

I know in many states you are not allowed to carry in a bar or establishment that makes at least 51% of their money from selling alcohol(iirc)... consider that in every room at the D&B's by me has a bar in the middle of it... it could fall under that same type of rule. I dont drink when i go there tho.. i go to play games.

To sum it all up, I consider Dave and Busters a bar, hence no ccw allowed.

I don't think D&B gets 51% of their income from alcohol. In addition to alcohol sales, they also sell food and have all the games. Also, last time I was at a D&B (in Houston), they didn't have a 51% sign as would be required by TX law if they did have >51% alcohol sales.

They didn't have a 30.06 sign up either, so I would assume whatever sign they've got up in their Missouri location is a local management decision and not a national one (?).

Metro Atlanta has two D&Bs. I live across the interstate from one of them, and for a year and a half I worked across the interstate from the other (these were different interstate highways, btw). All D&B, all the time. :uhoh:

In Georgia, if they serve alcohol at all, it's off limits. (Note the word "serve"--a store that sells but doesn't have a license to let customers consume on the premesis isn't covered by that.)

I have personally met "Dave and Buster" Both are very nice guys. Dave is a slim business type. Buster is the guy that wears a big Texas (large chrome, you know the steroetype, lol) belt buckle. It was funny seeing him get out of a little red Mercedes Coupe.

I am surprised to hear that they are anti. Their corporate HQ is not in the best part of North Dallas and is basically around the corner from a ton of strip clubs and local ladies of the street.

I will drop them a line, and encourage everyone to do it too. I would be willing to bet that at the very least, you could get through to Dave or Busters personal secretary. They were nice ladies to me in the past when I met them. Get your message across to them and ask them to have Buster call you back.

Guys, the world is NOT black and white...

Just because some managerial type in a restaurant in St. Louis decides that he should post signage (guys, you REALLY need to e-mail the folks at www.schnucks.com - you may never have heard of 'em, but it's _the_ major grocer in the St. Louis area, and folks have been seeing their signs every day... If Schnuck's does it, other folks will...) doesn't mean that the business as a whole is "anti." HOWEVER, the business as a whole needs to understand that until the sign comes down, you cannot patronize 'em.

In Ohio you can't carry in any place that serves alcohol for consumption on the premesis, so we can't carry in D&B regardless of their policies.

I am curious if they have a corporate policy concerning concealed carry.

The Dave & Busters in Philly has no sign - but then again, signs in Pennsylvania (I have never seen one) are not mentioned in the law, so I assume they have no legal standing.

It is legal to carry in a bar, also, so it isn't that they don't need a sign.

Because of this, I'm 99% sure it's a local decision.
