hey guys, im about to order some davidson grips for my 1911, and im just wondering which pattern you guys think provides the most grip on the weapon. the ones i am considering are the horned lizard (diagonal pattern, looks dynamite) and the warthog (checkered pattern, looks good but not quite as good as the lizard, at least in multi-colors). id love to hear from anyone who might have both styles of grips, and i'd also be interested to hear from anyone who has his shredder or barnone patterns, and how you might feel about those grips. they all look great, i just want to make sure that i buy the right one for me, which i think will be the "grippiest" version. thanks for all your help!

I just put a set of Horned lizards on my S&W 1911, I can't imagine needing anything grippier than them. They feel like grip tape!:)

I have the Shredders, and I'm afraid to shoot my gun using them! Just holding the gun with them on hurts! In a good way of course, lol. Let's just say the Shredders are aptly named. If I could order another (and I could...) I would probably go with the Shredders again just because they look cool and are very functional, but I'd get them in Black G10 rather than the Black/Grey I originally got. Hard to go wrong though! I think he's even willing to make a custom pattern if you email him and give him the details. A blend of some of his patterns or something totally new. I'm sure the pricing varies...
