I've replaced the batteries in my Surefire E2D three times. The first time, the batteries acted as expected; the light dimmed until they were dead. Those were Surefire-branded batteries.
The past two times I used Duracell's. They seem to last longer, but they die with no indication of their impending death. That is, I switch the light on and it looks fine. As bright as ever. I switch it off and on again, 100% dead.
Like I said, all told they seem to last longer. But at they seem to burn out rather than fade.
Anyone else experience this phenomenon?
