I sold off alot of guns, down to my buckmark and g19 for pistols.. I want to trade the g19 for something with some more power, but is still a tool. My other guns were too nice.

XD 3.8 with the good old .45 looks like a winner, or a g30.

But the .357 sig looks like a whole different animal. Especially in a small package like a p239 or g33. Drop in a 40 barrel too.

What say thee?

(que 10 mm advocates.)

Depends on it's intended use. I was looking for a 10-round carry piece and the G30 shot better for me than any other gun.

I cut that reply a little short. I have no real interest in semi-auto handguns in calibers other than .22LR (cheap to shoot), .45acp (my favorite defensive round), and 9mm (adequate defensive round, minimal recoil, cheaper ammo).

I'm not a fan of .40 or 10mm, but I'm fine with everyone else carrying them.

The 125gr SIG load does have a bit more zip than the equivalent 124gr 9mm +P loading, but I'm not convinced it really provides any significatnt real life benefit over the more common rounds.

On the other hand SIGs are great guns, the .357 SIG is certainly a capable SD round and if you are in the market for something a bit different you could certainly do much worse.
