So I decided to return my new PS90 that I picked up a couple weeks ago and exchange it for something else. Fortunately I'm on great terms with the shop owner of the store where I bought it and he said as long as I bought something of equal or greater value he would honor the return. It really surprised me that he agreed to do it, I suppose it's probably because I've bought so much from him over the years. Just another reason why it pays to shop locally! Of course the gun was pretty much as new as when I bought it, I only had a couple weeks and it spent most of that time in the original box.

Anyway I decided to go with what I really wanted all along, the FS2000. The shop just got one in the other day and after holding it I knew this was the gun I should have gone with over the PS90. I thought the PS90 would fulfill my desire to own an FS but it really didn't. I think mainly why I bought the PS90 was due to the fact I already had a FiveSeven.

The FS2000 was a little more than the PS90 but not by much. In reality I paid way more than I should have for the PS90 and realized that all too late. The FS however was priced very reasonably so I feel much more comfortable with what I paid for it. Besides I like the the FS uses standard AR mags, came with an reticle sight plus a rail and fires a more readily available and less expensive .223 as opposed to the 5.7x28.

Yeah I know I could have bought another AR or two for the price, but I've already got a couple AR's. I already have a couple AK's, MSAR and M1A as well and perfectly happy with all of them. However the FS2000 just seemed like something different and interesting to me. I know a lot of people out there find them ugly and toyish but I really like the look and feel of them, of course a lot of it may be the geeky sci-fi kid in me talking:D

So hopefully I'll be able to take it out tomorrow and shoot it, I'll post a range report once I have one to give.

So here are some pics of my newest family member.....

Here is how it looked when I got it....

Here is how it looks now with my Aimpoint on it. I think eventually I'll probably put an Eotech on it.

And why not one more pic:)

Awesome. I didn't know they had these available to civilians. I think its a sweet gun, first time I had seen it was playing Battlefield 2: SF a few years ago.

....you're shooting Wolf. Through a $2k gun. Really?

No I just grabbed it for the photos since it was the most convenient. I think what's pictured there is pretty much all the Wolf I have left.

I just picked up 500 rounds of PMC the other day so I'll probably be shooting mostly that through it. Ammo is the one thing I really need to start stocking up on:banghead:

It's a neat rifle for sure. The forward eject is great for wrong-handed people. The one I shouldered did have a poor cheek weld with the BUIS, but that's why they are "BU".

On the subject of Wolf ammo, if a semi-auto won't run it, I won't own it. Everyone is different, but my guns better be reliable under harsh conditions. Besides, the cost of ammo will eventually far exceed the price of even an expensive rifle. In other words, the rifle is only part of the cost of ownership.

I'm sure it would work ok, I think the real question is do you want to use it in certain guns? Wolf always seemed like a very dirty ammo to me so that's why I refrain from using it in some guns.

Fair enough.

Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the hell out of that rifle. I'd like to see a range report soon.

Loaf of Bread?

I was at the latest gun show here in Indianapolis and there were three of these there to see. It does look like a "loaf of bread" I suppose. However I found that they shouldered and pointed very comfortably...I was surprised and pleased. It felt very comfortable in the hand and up to the shoulder. These are very nice guns...very well made. Every little thing looks well made and high quality. The plastic is good with no mold marks and the metal is flawless. I was very impressed...plus these are just cool.

I have not fired one of these...or any bullpup for that matter...sot that might be another matter.

I am saving my money for one which will be a while.
