I saw a Glock 22 (.40 cal) tonight in the local gunnery. Priced at $360.00. The top of the magazine appears to be pretty chewed up. I have never owned or shot a Glock, but it seems like a good price for a Glock. I have a S&W model 14, 6" barrel, that I will probably try to trade in, to supplement the cash portion. I would welcome your thoughts on two questions:
1. Is the Glock as good, durable, etc as Tommy Lee Jones says it is in the US Marshalls movie? (I know movies are a terrible source of information:); seriously though, is the Glock as good as its reputation?
2. What are the chances the .40 caliber round will die out in the foreseeable future?

Thanks!

You got it.

Yes, Glock good. As long as you're aware of the caveats about handloads and lead, you should be OK.

Negligible. It's right up there in the top 5.

Glock magazines are inexpensive. That looks like a decent price for a used one.

I would keep hold of that S&W wheelgun though. I suspect you'd regret it if you traded it off.
