Can someone point me to a good how-to on cleaning a revolver? I have found a lot of different ways to do it, I would like to be thorough...

(A bolt action rifle one would be helpful also, just don't have it right yet).

Thanks in advance!

Just wipe it off with a soft, oil-damp rag after shooting. Clean the bore when it's leaded. Swab the chambers and under the extractor every few hundred rounds. You really don't need to clean like Hickok45 demonstrates but every few thousand rounds or once a year.

Pretty much what CraigC said. I wipe mine off with some bore cleaner or another, and run a brush/patch thru it a few times, then apply little oil. From start to finish my "cleaning" is about 5 minutes....I do this after I shoot any of them. They never really get all that dirty to need a long drawn out cleaning process.
