Hey everyone, So I ordered a 16" lightweight barrel kit from del-ton. I was just wondering if there was any special tools I needed to assemble it and does anything need to be oiled upon assemebely? Im sorry if these are obvious questions, this is my first build and Im haveing a hard time finding all the information. Also, If anyone has used one of the barrel kits, not the whole rifle kits, how much and what needs to be assembled? Thanks in advance!

Did you order a complete upper or just a barrel by itself?

Installing an upper onto a lower is two push pins. Installing a barrel into an upper receiver requires a lot more tools and effort.

What was in the kit you bought - a barrel, an upper and a barrel? If you have an action holder you can clamp into a vise, and a barrel-nut wrench, you can do it yourself. The other option is that you can have Del-Ton install the barrel into the upper for a small charge.

I went to a competitive shooter's house and brought him a 12 pack of beer and he and I assembled the rifle.

It shoots under a minute!
