I may sure be wrong but I don't recall seeing any holes like those in my Anaconda. Drilled and tapped for some sort of optic maybe.

Well wiki says some models were factory drilled and tapped for telescopic sights, but on the side? The bottom two holes are tapped.

Have seen many Anaconda's that have been PTD (Ported, tapped and drilled), but never on the side of the frame. Am confident help will be on the way to provide some explanation. Personally, none of my Anaconda's have been tapped in that location and have never seen any on GB, GI or any gun shows for that matter. Interesting??

Never seen that...They look like $200 holes to me, because the price would drop $200 for each one if I was buying it.

Only reason I could POSSIBLY think of would be the attachment of some kind of decorative plaque.

possibly for a side mounted laser??? Before the advent of Crimson Trace grips, there were some side mounted lasers for revolvers.

Simply holes to attach some piece of after market hardware. All previous guesses are valid possibilities. These are not factory holes.

Holes

If it were a S&W I'd be on the search for a new side plate but since it is not I'd hope you got it for a really good price. Nothing factory about it for sure. I'd look into having it welded up by gun people extraordinaire or if just as a shooter thread 'em and plug 'em.

Well, as the OP has rather abruptly just deleted his question and pics :)confused:) I guess we'll close this.

Just as an aside, that sort of "post-and-bail" is a bit less than awesome. If you want a thread shut we often will, but deleting your post makes folks feel like they wasted their time on answering you, plus removes value from the forum that might have helped others with similar questions.
