Like the title says....what is the general consensus on these models?

this is the model with the aluminum receiver and can be found EYE-POPPING cheap right now.....thinking of pulling the trigger.

thanks

$450. $450 for an AR. $450 for an AR from a company that has a pretty good reputation across the web. $450 for an AR, when the same quality product was going for $2,000 during the scare. $450 for a carbine that will shoot with almost every pull of the trigger. $450 for an AR that will likely shoot very straight. $450 and it will hurl a projectile at game and threatening two legged critters, with authority. $450 for an AR that will probably outlast you. $450 for a firearm that you'll have a lot of fun with.

Sound like the worst $450 you'll ever spend.;)

Centerfire Systems just sent an email out today advertising this rifle for $399 delivered. That's an outstanding value.

For $400, I wouldn't even care about quality or performance. That price is just insane.

When you can buy an AR platform for less than some .22 rifles... What an amazing time to be alive.

yes, sorry for being so cryptic, i wasn't sure about the forum rules for posting links or advertisements....but yes, I was referring Centerfire www.centerfiresystems.com who is currently offering the gun for $399 including S/H (as of 10/2/15).

yes, that is for the gimmicky "cash" price a la Bud's....but I'm sure the difference isn't that significant on a $400 item. in fact, I just calculated and it comes out to $411.99 shipped if you order it online with a card.'

EDIT: Andddddddd there sold out. item is also unavailable for back order so I'm guessing there won't be anymore...that was the other reason I didn't mention a store or price....oh well guess I won't be getting an AR15

It's crazy. We're constantly debating about "which rifle is better", but the reality is that they're all pretty good. For the average Joe, I mean. Barring real, hard core, sustained combat, a carbine like this Del Ton will serve just fine. Heck, maybe it would even do well in harsh conditions. $450.

yup I will get one when the time is right....for my purposes the entry-levels like this Deltron are perfect and after further research on this particular model, I discovered these are considered to be extremely reliable and particularly well made considering their price point.

Honestly, I can tell you guys this much coming from a relative outsider and noob to the gun scene/trade....the gun community is one of the first "industries" i've encountered in the internet age where a significant percentage of retail customers still assume and believe that a cheaper version of an item cannot be of equal quality to its competition. This isn't a blanket statement, just an observation that I immediately noticed across multiple gun forums, youtube channels, LGS, etc.

I saw this train of thought slowly lose its foothold, particularly with the retail customers, in many different industries/communities as the internet continued to grow rapidly in both popularity and accessibility....and people began to share their own personal experiences with products and it became very easy to establish a track record as a new company...or for a product to have its problems exposed in a very real and quantifiable way. Manufacturers can no longer control the image of their product and they are forced to fix problems/quality control issues or face the wrath of disgruntled social media warriors and angry forums mobs lol.

however, the gun industry is different. somehow u can still walk into even a nice, modern LGS and here some of the most factually incorrect, biased statements most often in regards to a certain brand or model.

Del Ton makes a darn good quality rifle for the money, mine will shoot right up there with my Colt's and other expensive AR's and does it without a malfunction in thousands of rounds fired. Del Ton and S&W Sport are my favorite budget rifles.
