Had a piece trash in my 243 die and dented a few case necks before I caught it and cleaned out the die. Scrap or shoot? I've heard both opinions on case necks.

those dents will come out when you shoot them just like fire forming .some times that will happen if you are lubing the neck and shoulder of the case.

I use LEE resizing lube sparingly from the shoulder down with a light swab on the inside with a "q" tip it works well and has no effect on the powder. After I clean with a towel this works for me.

Clear, I use the same lube but got it on the shoulders. After a few uses the vent hole clogs and forms a ridge that imparts on the shoulder.

TenDriver,
I thoroughly clean dies with Hoppe's #9 and a cotton 28 ga. bore mop then dry with a cotton cloth after blowing the relief vent hole clear with compressed air.

For case lube, a very thin application of Imperial Sizing Wax will slick 'em up and you'll not stick the case in the die. It wipes off cleanly. too.

That looks more like a lube dent to me. Nothing to worry about at all, it will iron back out when fired.

To much lube, or getting it on the shoulder produces those type dents.
