A Monterey County (note: California) sheriff's deputy will be arraigned today for allegedly giving a gun to a convicted felon, who playfully aimed the loaded weapon at other patrons at a downtown Palo Alto (note: also California) bar.

Deputy Sean Brooks, 34, faces charges of aiding and abetting a felony because he gave his gun to Ryan Barry, 23, of Palo Alto, who is a felon, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.

...

Assistant District Attorney Karyn Sinunu said the weapon, which was not Brooks' department-issued handgun, had a laserscope on it, and Barry shifted the beam from target to target in the bar, switching back and forth from customers to the dart boards.

...

Hmmm, wonder if this means Palo Alto PD will be loosening up on CCWs now?

Laserscope?

Sigh. And in a college town in the ultra-liberal Bay Area no less. Great publicity.
Laserscope, eh? First it was the now-legal 600 rpm AK-47s ... What next?

Laserscope
Indeed ......

I mean ... was it a red dot ''scope'' or was it a CT grip type projected laser spot?

Typical ''journalese'' crap. When will they ever research terminology and get facts right! All they seem to do is misinform which gives anti's all the more to continue with as incorrect BS. And there's enough of that already!:(
